Workshop participants explore instructional strategies to prepare students for success in high school English courses. The workshops include a brief overview of the structure of the English I, II, and III STAAR End-of-Course Assessments that emphasizes the relationships among standards, instruction, and assessment. Participants practice reading strategies designed to deepen understanding of text and learn strategies for crafting written responses.
