The Vaughn Gross Center is on the main campus of The University of Texas at Austin. Our central office is in Room 228 of George I. Sanchez Building (formerly the College of Education Building) at the northwest corner of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Brazos, across the street from the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum. Below are ways to visit the center as well as parking information.

  1. Follow signs for Highway 71 W.
  2. Take Highway 71 W to U.S. 183 N.
  3. Keep RIGHT to merge onto U.S. 183 N.
  4. Take U.S. 183 N and stay in the LEFT lane.
  5. Exit onto 7th Street E (U.S. 183 goes right).
  6. Turn RIGHT onto I-35 N. Take I-35 N.
  7. Exit Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (MLK; north of downtown).
  8. Turn LEFT onto MLK.
  9. Take MLK to Brazos (stoplight). Turn RIGHT onto Brazos.

Driving From the East (U.S. 290/Houston)

  1. Take U.S. 290 W to Austin.
  2. Exit onto I-35 S.
  3. Exit Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (MLK) just north of downtown.
  4. Turn RIGHT onto MLK.
  5. Take MLK to Brazos (stoplight). Turn RIGHT onto Brazos.

Driving From the West (U.S. 290/Fredericksburg)

  1. Take U.S. 290 E to Austin.
  2. Follow U.S. 290 E onto I-35 N.
  3. Exit Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (MLK; north of downtown).
  4. Turn LEFT onto MLK.
  5. Take MLK to Brazos (stoplight). Turn RIGHT onto Brazos.

  1. Take I-35 S toward Austin.

Driving From the Southeast (TX 71, Airport, Houston, I-10)

  1. Take I-10 W.
  2. Exit Highway 71 W.
  3. Take Highway 71 W to U.S. 183 N.
  4. Exit U.S. 183 N.
  5. Take U.S. 183 N and stay in the LEFT lane.
  6. Exit onto 7th Street E.
