UT Austin College of Education postdoctoral researchers and graduate students will have the opportunity to discuss research questions with Christopher Lemons from the University of Pittsburgh from 10:30 a.m. to noon on October 23 in the Pittenger Room, SZB 418.
A new Star Legacy Module on secondary reading instruction, featuring the expertise of MCPER researchers, is now available online. "Secondary Reading Instruction: Teaching Vocabulary and Comprehension in the Content Areas" is the latest module in the series from the IRIS Center at Vanderbilt University. Star Legacy Modules are online resources that provide information about working with students with disabilities. Specifically, MCPER Executive Director Sharon Vaughn is featured in the Wrap Up section of the module.

In recognition of his excellent work in the field, Dr. Russell Lang, a fellow in the MCPER Autism Spectrum Disorders Institute, has won the third annual Ted Carr Initial Researcher Award. The Association for Positive Behavior Support created the award in recognition of Dr. Ted Carr, one of its founding members. Lang will be honored during the opening session of the 10th International Conference on Positive Behavior Support on March 28 in San Diego, CA.
