The Reading Institute, directed by Dr. Sharon Vaughn, is dedicated to understanding reading difficulties for students at all grade levels and validating evidence-based practices to prevent and remediate reading problems.​

The strands of research within this institute focus on adolescent literacy, English language learners, and early literacy.
