Overview

English I, II, and III Success workshops prepare high school teachers to design appropriate instruction for all students. Workshop participants explore instructional strategies to prepare students for success in high school English courses. The workshops include a brief overview of the structure of the English I, II, and III STAAR End-of-Course Assessments that emphasizes the relationships among standards, instruction, and assessment. Participants practice reading strategies designed to deepen understanding of text and learn strategies for crafting written responses.
