Overview

The Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities is a collaboration of Dell Children's Hospital and The University of Texas at Austin to address the needs of children with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, through diagnosis, neuropsychological evaluation, and family support. The center also offers applied behavior analysis assessments and interventions to treat social, communication, daily living skills, and problem behavior issues for this population. A team of experts from the disciplines of psychology, special education (applied behavior analysis), and speech and language pathology complete evaluations. Assessment findings, diagnoses, and recommendations are provided at a feedback session and then summarized in a comprehensive written report. Once assessments are complete, the center offers individualized consultative services to assist with implementing intervention strategies across multiple settings. The overall goal is to provide the tools for families to improve their and their children's quality of life. To learn more about this project, call the Texas Child Study Center at (512) 324-3315.
