Overview

Funded by the Texas Education Agency (TEA), the goal of the 2011–2012 Building Capacity for Response to Intervention (RtI) Implementation Project is to provide Texas educators with information needed to implement RtI as a means for improving student achievement and preventing learning difficulties.

Major activities for the project this year include the following:

  • Conduct webcasts to facilitate RtI implementation in Texas schools
  • Develop resources to enhance the knowledge of Texas educators and school leaders in implementing Rtl
  • Collaborate with TEA and the Education Service Center Partner Network to disseminate information related to practices that promote school improvement in districts that target disproportionality in their schools
  • Maintain and update project website to give Texas educators, parents, and other stakeholders “24/7″ access to Rtl implementation information
