The Educational Access Research Institute is dedicated to increasing educational opportunities for traditionally underserved populations. Directed by Dr. Stephanie W. Cawthon, this institute has three main strands: (1) educational outcomes for students who are d/Deaf or hard-of-hearing; (2) assessment and accommodations for students with disabilities, as well as policy implications; and (3) arts integration as a tool for increasing student engagement, instructional quality, and school climate.
